Do we need to explore the question, "What is a Wiki, Anyway?".

1st Priod

The Task

  • We want to divide into small groups, and investigate what Wiki's can bring to the classroom.
  • Each group will investigate how a Wiki can enhance learning, from a slightly different point of view.
  • We will Create a Wiki as our final Product, to Demonstrate the value of a Wiki.

The Process

  1. First you'll be assigned to one of 3 teams...
  2. Each Team will be given a particular subtopic to examine, by exploring various links, provided by me....
  3. Each Team will contribute to the the final Project Wiki, which will teach us all about wiki's.
  4. If a team goes outside the designated resources, they should cite new links within their content.
  5. Finally, All recipients are asked to contribute to the Discussion section of the project wiki.

Topics

  1. Why might a teacher use a Wiki?
  2. What is a WebQuest, and how can it be a valuable learning experience?
  3. Referring to Blooms Taxonomy, How do class project Wiki's enhance learning?
